The tranquil silence of fresh snowfall is one of my favorite moments to capture—winter’s intricate patterns on trees and branches never fail to mesmerize me. Geothermal springs weave delicate hoarfrost and mist into scenes of pure magic, igniting my senses with their quiet beauty.

But I’m keenly aware of the fragility of these landscapes. The roar of snowmobiles shatters the stillness, disrupting wildlife surroundings, stressing animals already struggling to survive the winter, and leaving behind carbon pollutants that taint the pristine snowpack. These places demand our respect. Mindfulness isn’t just a suggestion—it’s essential to protecting and preserving the untouched beauty of winter’s embrace.
